Birgit von Heintze
I grew up as the daughter of a captain in Lübeck and spent half of my childhood worldwide on the ships of my father.
After high school I spent a year in Paris, afterwards flew two years international routes as a flight attendant of Deutsche Lufthansa before I studied German and literature at ‘University of Hamburg’. After I graduated as a journalist at ‘Axel Springer School of Journalism’ in Hamburg. I worked for ‘BILD’ newspaper as chief reporter in Berlin, before I switched to TV: editor of Premiere in Hamburg and Thomas Gottschalk’s “late night show” (RTL) in Munich.
As editorial director and presenter I had my own daily television show on Kabelkanal (“Life Guide”). In the following years I was a freelancer for lifestyle and culture issues, including Gala, GQ, Welt am Sonntag, The European. In 2007 I started my own company for interior design, opened a showroom in Berlin and since then set up and furnish private dwellings, events and business premises.
Back to the roots
The enthusiasm for lifestyle, fashion and interior, identifying trends, many years of experiences with design projects and my love of writing provided the impetus for this blog, founded in 2014 and launched in 2015.
I currently live with my family in Berlin, Prenzlauer Berg.
You have a sense for interior, a stylish, luxurious or special product or you know / own a place-to-be, that might be interesting for MyStylery?
