<strong>Where:</strong> Berlin – Mitte</p>
<div id="attachment_1411" style="width: 1034px" class="wp-caption alignnone"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-1411" class="wp-image-1411 size-full" src="https://mystylery.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/SAM_2695_1.jpg" alt="SAM_2695_1" width="1024" height="587" srcset="https://mystylery.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/SAM_2695_1.jpg 1024w, https://mystylery.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/SAM_2695_1-523x300.jpg 523w, https://mystylery.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/SAM_2695_1-800x459.jpg 800w, https://mystylery.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/SAM_2695_1-150x86.jpg 150w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><p id="caption-attachment-1411" class="wp-caption-text">View into the restaurant. The gigantic chandeliers hung in the former &#8220;Palace Hotel&#8221; in Berlin Mitte</p></div>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It’s a very unusual thing to open a restaurant that includes a menu that only offers the favourite dishes of friends. But the Berlin restaurant proprietor Heinz Gindullis wanted to create a place for friends and so opened the restaurant Crackers in Berlin Mitte in the former rooms of legendary club Cookies.</p>
<div id="attachment_1410" style="width: 1034px" class="wp-caption alignnone"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-1410" class="wp-image-1410 size-full" src="https://mystylery.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/SAM_2688.jpg" alt="SAMSUNG CSC" width="1024" height="576" srcset="https://mystylery.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/SAM_2688.jpg 1024w, https://mystylery.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/SAM_2688-533x300.jpg 533w, https://mystylery.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/SAM_2688-800x450.jpg 800w, https://mystylery.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/SAM_2688-150x84.jpg 150w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><p id="caption-attachment-1410" class="wp-caption-text">There are no windows in Crackers. Large mirrors reflect the light and give the room a different dimension</p></div>
<p style="text-align: justify;">As medially out of five children born and grown up in London, Heinz Gindullis alias Cookie comes to Berlin in the 90s. “Apparently I was a cute small child, who was called Cookie by everyone”, explains the successful restaurant proprietor his nickname, that makes him and the identically named club to one of the most important sizes of the capital scene. He started whilst the wild Berlin club years as dishwasher in a Jewish restaurant, where he works his way up as barkeeper. After a couple of years he opens his own bar, the first Cookies. Seven other identically named clubs in different locations followed. “The club was so fully crowded at the opening of the seventh Cookies that a friend of mine meant that the place should be called Crackers.” Years later the time had come. The Cookie-club-era was over – after 20 years in total.</p>
<div id="attachment_1409" style="width: 459px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-1409" class="wp-image-1409" src="https://mystylery.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/SAM_2788_1_1.jpg" alt="SAM_2788_1_1" width="449" height="800" srcset="https://mystylery.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/SAM_2788_1_1.jpg 575w, https://mystylery.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/SAM_2788_1_1-168x300.jpg 168w, https://mystylery.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/SAM_2788_1_1-337x600.jpg 337w, https://mystylery.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/SAM_2788_1_1-84x150.jpg 84w" sizes="(max-width: 449px) 100vw, 449px" /><p id="caption-attachment-1409" class="wp-caption-text">&#8220;After 20 years of club scene I wanted to do something new,&#8221; says Cookie. &#8220;At some point there&#8217;s maybe a new club. One should never say NEVER. &#8220;</p></div>
<p style="text-align: justify;">&#8220;I personally don’t feel like nightlife anymore&#8221;, explains Cookie about his new beginning and adds whilst laughing: “it’s a matter of age. I want to know the people for whom I’m doing something. Teenagers are obviously not my generation anymore”, resumes the restaurateur, who by himself never worked as a waiter, but therefore had even more precise ideas of a good service: “In America are lots of people who delude others with an over friendly habitus. On the one side the service can be pretty rough in Berlin, on the other it’s honest. And the guest is also responsible for a good togetherness. He also has to behave”, says Cookie and points out “always to stand behind one team.”</p>
<blockquote><p><span style="font-size: 24pt; font-family: alex_brushregular; color: #ff6600;">Long live the Crackers!</span></p></blockquote>
<p style="text-align: justify;">And like in all his other places, there’s obviously also a big surprising effect, because the arriving guest first has to walk through the kitchen – passing the steaming pots and swirling cooks –, before he then takes place in the restaurant itself. “I was always a fan of gangster movies and wild chases through kitchens”, explains Cookie. “And the way through the ‘open kitchen’ is also a sign for openness and transparency.” Leaving the cooking-action behind, the guest will then find himself in a room with a long bar and tables on different seating areas.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-1412" src="https://mystylery.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/SAM_2704_1.jpg" alt="SAM_2704_1" width="1024" height="647" srcset="https://mystylery.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/SAM_2704_1.jpg 1024w, https://mystylery.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/SAM_2704_1-475x300.jpg 475w, https://mystylery.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/SAM_2704_1-800x505.jpg 800w, https://mystylery.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/SAM_2704_1-150x95.jpg 150w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Copper-lamps that hang over Mahagoni-tables and seats with petrol coloured covers produce a deemed light. The guest chooses between nine starts and six main courses out of fresh ingredients like a grilled iceberg lettuce with Stilton and lemon vinaigrette, the favourite dish of Cookie.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>By the way:</strong> the flexible furniture system provides that the Crackers can be used for different events. Scarcely the fashion label “Lala Berlin” rocked the closing party of the Berlinale in the walls of the Crackers.  <span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>BvH</strong></span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">It was love that brought Silvia Meyer to Berlin 15 years ago. Born in Leipzig Silvia met her future husband whilst skiing in Sölden, Austria and it did not pass a long time when the German capital became the common center of life for both of them.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Silvia Meyer who previously worked as a buyer for Peek &amp; Cloppenburg realized quickly that there was something missing in the thriving metropolis and so established her boutique &#8220;Ofelia&#8221; in 2005, nowadays a paradise for all fashionistas.<br />
&#8220;I was fascinated by the unique atmosphere of this area and I immediately knew that Prenzlauer Berg has a great potential,&#8221; explains the fashion expert. Ever since she presents carefully selected brands like Diane von Furstenberg, Friendly Hunting, equipment, Vanessa Bruno Athé, J Brand, American Vintage and other designers around the corner from Kollwitz Platz and is one of my <span id="result_box" class="short_text" lang="en" tabindex="-1"><span class="hps">favorite</span> <span class="hps">shops.</span></span></p>
<blockquote>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: alex_brushregular; font-size: 24pt; color: #ff6600;">My Stylery loves Ofelia</span></p>
</blockquote>
<p>Meanwhile, Ofelia is a fashion-institution and therefore pretty exotic as there is a lot of fluctuation in the district: shops come and go.<br />
&#8220;I put a lot of emphasis on individual advice and tell the customers frankly which outfits suit them best. That is how I gained lots of regular customers over a time,&#8221; explains Silvia Meyer talking about her success. <span id="result_box" class="" lang="en" tabindex="-1"><span class="hps">By the way</span>, in Berlin <span class="hps">the</span> <span class="hps">hip</span>, English <span class="hps">jeans label</span> MiH <span class="hps">is exclusively available at</span> <span class="hps">Ofelia</span><span class="hps">.</span> <span class="hps">Where else?!</span></span>  <span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>BvH</strong></span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Clearly, the Seventies are back! And with them the stylish flares of London&#8217;s fashionable jeans label <a href="http://www.mih-jeans.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MiH</a>, one of Britain’s most iconic denim labels with a heritage spanning back over four decades. Chloe Lonsdale, Founder and Creative Director of MiH Jeans, re-established the company after spotting a gap in the market for jeans with a more understated, European aesthetic. After completing a degree in Fashion Design at Central St Martins College of Art &amp; Design, Chloe re-launched MiH Jeans in 2006.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: 24pt; font-family: alex_brushregular; color: #ff6600;"><em>Forever in <span style="color: #0000ff;">Bluejeans</span></em></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Originally named Made in Heaven, the brand was founded in 1969 by Chloe’s godfather with the single goal of providing the most perfectly fitting jeans around. Fans included famous style icons Jane Birkin and Marianne Faithful.<br />
As of now, nothing and no one goes without a high waist flared jeans. I will combine my new jeans with a white or blue cotton shirt! Love it!  <span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>BvH</strong></span></p>
