It was love that brought Silvia Meyer to Berlin 15 years ago. Born in Leipzig Silvia met her future husband whilst skiing in Sölden, Austria and it did not pass a long time when the German capital became the common center of life for both of them.

Silvia Meyer who previously worked as a buyer for Peek & Cloppenburg realized quickly that there was something missing in the thriving metropolis and so established her boutique “Ofelia” in 2005, nowadays a paradise for all fashionistas.
“I was fascinated by the unique atmosphere of this area and I immediately knew that Prenzlauer Berg has a great potential,” explains the fashion expert. Ever since she presents carefully selected brands like Diane von Furstenberg, Friendly Hunting, equipment, Vanessa Bruno Athé, J Brand, American Vintage and other designers around the corner from Kollwitz Platz and is one of my favorite shops.

Meanwhile, Ofelia is a fashion-institution and therefore pretty exotic as there is a lot of fluctuation in the district: shops come and go.
“I put a lot of emphasis on individual advice and tell the customers frankly which outfits suit them best. That is how I gained lots of regular customers over a time,” explains Silvia Meyer talking about her success.
